Cancer and Reiki

Reiki can make you feel more comfortable
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle hands on healing, that, by the practitioner
placing her hands on the client, sends healing energy to the client. The
very essence of Reiki brings a deep feeling of relaxation and a sense of
well being,. Reiki means “universal life force”. Rei means Gods
wisdom, and Ki means life force energy. Reiki was discovered in the 19th
century by Dr. Mikoo Usui.
Reiki accesses the source of Life to heal the self and others on
spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels. Reiki allows the source
of well-being to enhance and balance natural life forces through
non-intrusive therapeutic touch. Health maintenance, pain relief, mental
quietude and healing result from its application. Reiki augments and
accelerates the healing process. It can be effective in cases that do not
respond to other forms of treatment. It can be used in conjunction with
any other therapeutic modality. Reiki is very simple, and yet very
profound and powerful!

Enhance your health and
quality of life!!! Reiki is good medicine for the multitude of physical
and emotional discomforts that accompany cancer and it’s treatment.
Reiki has been known to ease pain, reduce nausea, fatigue and to help
rebuild hope.
For those who are in the
final stages of cancer and life - the patient needs to be touched
frequently. Patients sometime withhold information or feelings from loved
ones, believing they are protecting them. Some people can let down their
barriers with the practitioner after a session and feel relieved.
Nurses often tell
stories of how Reiki has been beneficial pre, intra and post-operatively.
Reiki helps the anesthetist to connect with the patient by reducing the
anxiety about the upcoming procedure. Reiki can be done immediately after
surgery. More evasive modalities need to wait until the cells and tissues
have time to recover without interrupting the rebuilding process.
